Questions, answered
Is it free to list my business?
Yes. Creating an account and a searchable business profile is free. Paid boosts and adverts are optional extras that buy extra visibility for a set period. They do not buy a quality rating or an identity check.
How do I contact a business?
Open a profile and send a quote request, message the business on WhatsApp where it has shared a number, or write one event brief to up to three businesses at once. Availability and bookings are always confirmed directly with the business.
Do you take payments or deposits for services?
No. Payments for services, deposits and contracts are agreed directly between you and the business. Keep written confirmation of what is included, the date, the total price and how and when you will pay. Occasivo collects payment only for advertising and profile boosts.
Which currencies do businesses use?
Each business states its own price and currency. US dollars and Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) are both commonly used in Zimbabwe, so always confirm the currency and what the price includes before you agree.
Does the platform cover places outside Harare and Bulawayo?
Yes. Businesses can list any town in Zimbabwe, including Victoria Falls, Mutare, Gweru, Masvingo, Kariba and Nyanga. Some businesses also travel, so ask about service areas and travel costs.
What does “identity checked” mean?
It means our team checked the business identity at the time of review. It is not a guarantee of service quality, and it is independent of whether a business pays for a boost.
I plan events from outside Zimbabwe. Can you help?
Yes. Say where you are planning from in your brief and ask about video consultations. Many businesses offer remote planning for family and friends abroad.
